Seasonally, take the passenger ferry across to the historic fishing village of Appledore which also offers a good range of pubs and eateries. For walkers and cyclists, the Tarka Trail is just a few minutes away offering miles of scenic, level pathways. The market towns of Barnstaple and Bideford and the National Trust coastal footpaths toward and beyond Clovelly are all a short drive away, or jump aboard The Oldenburg to Lundy Island for the day. Instow is on an excellent bus route between Ilfracombe Appledore and Westward Ho!
