From here you can easily tour the beautiful Purbeck Hills or head 5.5 miles to the west and explore the old quarry at Winspit. The popular sites of Kimmeridge, Old Harry Rocks, and Lulworth Cove are also within reach. A chain ferry runs from nearby Studland across to Bournemouth and Poole, where you can indulge in some retail therapy, or simply relax on the unspoilt beach, which is backed by sand dunes and a nature reserve.
