The market town of Keswick is just 4 miles away, The Mountain Festival, which is usually held in May or June, offers three days of world class sports, outdoor activities, talks, and films with live music. The shore path at Bassenthwaite runs the length of the West shore, there is an open air theatre which is worth a visit. The Lakes Distillery is just 12 miles away, why not book a tour or tasting session or visit the resident Alpacas.
