The ancient market town of Ulverston is just 2 miles away, and still has a street market every Thursday and Saturday, plus many festivals throughout the year, including an amazing lantern procession in September and a superb Dickensian weekend in early December. With all the attractions of the Lake District National Park, beaches, and good birdwatching of the Furness coast close by, this peaceful and quiet area has plenty to offer. This property dates to 1658 and still retains a lot of the original features from the lovely oak beams to the old style flooring and layout. Upon walking through the front door, you will see the thought and effort the owners have gone to restore this property to its former glory, while adding a modern feel. The lounge area is the hub of the house with a corner sofa and armchair where you can enjoy relaxing in front of the wood burner whilst watching a film on the Smart TV. There is also a perfect spot for your legged friends to chill under the window on the church style bench. The kitchen/diner has a Lakeland cottage style to it with lovely mosaic tilling and oak worktops. There is an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. Onto the first floor is the large bathroom with an amazing roll top bath (perfect for a good soak after a day of walking), shower and WC. On this floor is you will find a double bedroom with built in storage and the master bedroom is located on the second floor with a king size bed and pull out sofa if required. The garden has plenty of space for the kids and your four legged friend to enjoy while you sit back and relax on the raised decking area.
