There s walks aplenty when you leave the village with Offa s Dyke Path on the Hatterrall Ridge (19 miles) offering a challenge, or even Hay Bluff (23 miles) and The Black Mountains. To slow it down a little, visit the market town of Hay on Wye, the Book Town where secondhand bookstores are at every turn and there s even an annual literary festival.
