Threlkeld is 2 miles along the road and is a delightful village, boasting three pubs, one of which is across the road so a hearty, home cooked meal is always available. Just 3 miles away, the Threlkeld Quarry & Mining Museum is a great day out, with tours taking you on an underground railway. Tackling the Skiddaw and Blencathra ranges are not for the faint hearted and the mountain trials at Whinlatter Forest Park will delight the mountain bikers amongst you. For a spot of retail therapy head to Keswick (6 miles), where there is a great choice of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants all on the banks of Derwentwater. Enter this tri level barn conversion from the main door into the spacious, open plan living space. The heart of the house, there is ample space for everyone to gather at the end of a busy day.
