Accommodation Details
1 bedroom double. 1 bathroom. Electric cooker and hobs, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and washer/dryer. TV, DVD and CD player. Please note there is no TV reception. Wi Fi included please note due to the rural location speeds may be lower than used to. Garden with BBQ (please bring own fuel), the outside area is uneven and raised from the property. There is a small stream which runs between the car park area and the front door children should be supervised at all times. Regret no pets. The owners of the property offer a number of optional extras at an additional cost to make your stay extra special. Packages include: brunch boxes, e bike hire, motor boat hire, outdoor adventure activities to include paddle boarding, climbing, guided walks, ghyll scrambling, kayaking and pony trekking. Please contact us for further details. Approximately 1 mile to village shops and pubs. This cottage lies beyond the end of a farm track. Please take care with overhead beams and changes in floor level.

Head off from here on foot to explore the Helvellyn range; climb St Sunday Crag, just over 1 mile away; see serene Grisdale Tarn, about 2.5 miles away. Hike 4 miles to impressive Aira Force Waterfall and take in the views over Ullswater. Catch a steamer from Aira Force to Pooley Bridge, where you can hire your own boat if you wish. Head to Penrith, 14.5 miles away, to go shopping and dine out. This has a rustic stone feature wall, bath with shower above, WC and hand basin plus an electric towel rail. Take a few steps up from the hall to discover the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with its vaulted ceiling, skylight windows, gorgeous old A frame beams and natural stonework. Chose a DVD, then relax on the sofa in here to watch it or select some music for the CD player to listen to as you prepare a delicious dinner for two. Find the kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer section, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Whip up a meal then dine together at the table. At the end of long days out exploring the Lake District, lay your head in the double bedroom and wake up to leafy views.
