4 bedrooms 2 king size, 1 small double (7ft bed), 1 twin. 3 bathrooms 2 ensuite bathrooms with bath and WC, 1 family bathroom with a shower over bath and WC. Oven,microwave, dsishwasher, fridge, freezer. Utility room with washing machine and iron. 2 open fires with fuel provided. Freeview TV, DVD player. Piano. Phone at the cottage for incoming calls only. Wi Fi included. Large enclosed garden with lawn, orchard, gazebo and patio with garden furniture (The gardens are open to the public on a few days throughout the year, please enquire at time of booking if you wish to visit when the gardens are closed). 2 dogs welcome. Plenty of off road parking at front of house. Pub 1 mile, shop 1.5 miles. Extra children bringing their own beds welcome by prior arrangement. Please note: New Years bookings will be the 28th December 2022. Fireworks are only permitted on Bonfire Night, New Year and Diwali and must be finished by 11pm. Please be aware of livestock in the surrounding fields.

Witherslack has a village pub and shop, or you can travel 10 miles to the large market town of Kendal with its thriving art hub, or 6 miles to Grange Over Sands which is a charming Victorian resort. 18 miles away is Lake Windermere which can be explored by a steamer, boat or canoe. There are several high fells nearby such as Orrest Head which are more challenging. Enter into the entrance hallway where you ll find a piano and a library of books beneath the grand staircase, as well as access to the kitchen which is well equipped with a range cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer and a breakfast table and chairs. Enjoy more formal meals in the dining room which has an open fire and garden views. There is also an open fire in the large elegant sitting room, as well as a flat screen Freeview TV and DVD player for evening entertainment. Patio doors lead from here out into the garden, perfect for an evening beverage. Head up the impressive staircase to the bedrooms which comprise two spacious king size bedrooms each with a sofa and dressing table, a bedroom with a small double bed and a twin bedroom. One of the king size rooms has an en suite bathroom with a bath, while the en suite of the twin room has a cast iron bath. On the first floor you will also find a family bathroom with a bath with a shower over, and a laundry room with washer and ironing facilities. Outside is a large stately garden with a lawn, a damson orchard, flower beds, a summer house and a patio with a table and chairs for al fresco dining.
