Dominated by the peaks of Knott Rigg and Ard Crags, the Newlands Valley offers miles of great trails, and is known particularly for its ridge walks. With Derwentwater to the east, and both Buttermere and Crummock Water to the west, there are some wonderful lakes to discover, with local landmarks and attractions including the Bowder Stone, Honister Slate Mine (both 7 miles), the Lake District Wildlife Park (11.5 miles), Surprise View (9.5 miles) and Whinlatter Forest Park (6.5 miles).

There is no mobile signal at Keskadale however you may be able to reach signal further up the valley. Pub 2.5 miles. Buttermere, Derwentwater and Crummock Water all within 4 miles. Due to size of the twin room and beds, the cottage best suited for 2 adults and 2 children. Regret no children or babies under the age of 2 years old.

The friendly village of Braithwaite (4 miles) has a couple of welcoming pubs. The delightful town of Keswick (6.5 miles) has a choice of places to eat and drink and is home to the Derwent Pencil Museum and the Puzzling Place. Three steps lead you up into this bright and refreshing caravan. The open plan lounge/kitchen/diner provides an ideal living area. The pretty lounge has plenty of seating, a fire, glorious views over the valley and a TV and DVD so you can curl up and watch a movie in the evening. There s also a cosy dining area, and the caravan is fitted with a useful kitchen area, equipped with a gas oven and hob, microwave and under counter fridge with an ice compartment. Exploring further, you will find two light and charming bedrooms: a double room, and a small twin room with a pair of 2 6 beds. The caravan also has a bathroom complete with a shower over a half bath and a WC. Outside the caravan you will find a small garden area, with grass, shrubs, and outdoor seating so you can sit back and take in the fantastic views across the valley. The caravan is set on a traditional working farm with Swaledale sheep, Limousin beef cattle and guinea fowl which patrol the fields and hedges..
