The Georgian town of Cockermouth (4 miles) was the birthplace of Wordsworth and has some wonderful pubs and restaurants. The nearest lakes are Crummock Water (6.5 miles) and Buttermere (9.5 miles) with Bassenthwaite Lake (8 miles), Ennerdale Water (12 miles) and Derwentwater (15 miles) also within easy reach. Other local attractions include Whinlatter Forest Park (8.5 miles) and the Derwent Pencil Museum in the market town of Keswick (16 miles). Entering this lovely property, you will find the warm and inviting lounge, which makes a great space to unwind in at the end of a fantastic day exploring the lakes. The lounge has plenty of comfortable seating, a TV and a wood burner. An additional living area features additional seating, a central wood burner and steps down to a games room with a pool/snooker table and dartboard. The airy farmhouse style kitchen/diner is perfect for preparing and sharing your favourite meals and is equipped with a charming dining table, electric oven and dishwasher. Other equipment, including an additional fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, can be found in the nearby utility room. The property has five tastefully decorated bedrooms, all on the first floor. Each bedroom has a TV and en suite facilities. Three double rooms have en suite shower rooms, while a fourth double has an en suite bathroom. There s also a family room with a double bed, twin beds and an en suite shower room. Finally, the second floor is occupied by a spacious, light and refreshing bathroom, providing a unique space to relax, with exposed ceiling beams, skylight windows, marble effect tiles and a freestanding bath with a handheld shower over. Stepping outside, the enclosed garden has been professionally landscaped, with a stream running through it so children and dogs must be supervised.
