If you re up for making a splash, hire kayaks, jump in for a swim or try your hand at fishing and enjoy family friendly days in the magical Lake District. If you fancy a night off from the kitchen, make the 5 mile journey to Penrith where a host of pubs await, as does a gorgeous Victorian shopping arcade and a thriving monthly market. Walk the garden path, open the front door and step inside this lovely home from home. After adventurous days, the lounge is the perfect place to relax. Bursting with character this room has a sandstone fireplace which houses the warming wood burner a feature bound to keep you and your four legged friends happy throughout your stay. Choose to curl up on the sofa or one of the armchairs and enjoy some downtime in front of the TV or get competitive and challenge fellow guests to a board game. The hallway doubles up as a handy utility area with a washing machine and dryer. A couple of steps lead to the kitchen. Neutral tones and characterful features create a lovely space in which to feed hungry mouths and the table offers somewhere to enjoy family meals. If the night is balmy and warm, throw open the French doors and let the fresh air flood inside. When it s time to say good night and rest tired heads, climb the steep stairs and make yourself cosy in the double or twin bedroom. The double is reached via an extra pair of steps and has views over the garden with glimpses of the fells and a feature fireplace. The dual aspect twin is accessed through the bathroom and a couple of steps. The family bathroom has a bath for an evening soak and a shower over the bath for a refreshing rinse. Take your morning coffee outside to the bench or head into the garden which faces south and catches the sun all day. Great for sitting down with a glass of something cold and a snack or two.
