Windermere is just 7.5 miles away and you could spend hours strolling the shores of the lake or going on a boat trip. Beatrix Potter s Hill Top house is across the lake near Hawkshead (18.5 miles) and you can even walk in her footsteps along her favourite trail. Fell Foot Park (19 miles) is ideal to take the kids and seasoned hikers can attempt some of the more challenging walks from there. Step inside and you ll feel the warm welcome of the property. The kitchen diner is fresh and bright with contemporary cabinets and everything you need to cook up hearty meals, including an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine.
