Just a short drive out of town will bring you into the beautiful Lake District National Park, where memorable walks can be enjoyed both on high and low ground. Follow the lakeside path around Buttermere, 10 miles away, or take on the challenging Grisedale Pike, 11 miles away before enjoying a hearty meal at one of the national park s many friendly pubs.
