From Irton Road Station you can take the La al Ratty steam train through to the coastal village of Ravenglass (6.5 miles). Staying in the valley, you can climb Muncaster Fell (3 miles), see Stanley Ghyll Waterfall (5 miles), visit Muncaster Castle (7 miles) or head to Scafell Pike (10 miles). Activities include kayaking, canoeing, climbing, paddleboarding climbing and ghyll scrambling. Heading upstairs to the second floor, you will find a further bedroom. Set in the eaves of the house, this room has a low sloping ceiling, exposed beams, a useful desk and a double bed.
