The Bassenthwaite Lake station, a café inside an old train carriage on the former railway line, is only 0.2 miles. In the historic town of Cockermouth (5.5 miles), you can visit the birthplace of the poet William Wordsworth, and the town has a lovely selection of great places to eat and drink too. At the other end of Bassenthwaite Lake, the bustling town of Keswick (8 miles) is home to Derwent Pencil Museum, Puzzling Place and Keswick Adventure Centre. An inviting hallway leads you into this bright and airy house, and through to the tastefully decorated lounge. Featuring a TV, open fire, plenty of seating and a lovely large bay window with beautiful scenery, this is an ideal spot for relaxing in at the end of a great day out. Exploring further, the attractive dining room is perfect for gathering together to enjoy a delicious meal which you can rustle up in the spacious country style kitchen, equipped with an electric oven, separate electric hob, fridge, dishwasher and a useful breakfast table. The freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer can all be found in the handy utility room also on the ground floor you will find a WC. Heading up the stairs to the half landing you will find the main family bathroom and a wet room. The bathroom features a bath, a shower cubicle and a WC, while the wet room has a shower and WC.
