Tranquil Newton Ferrers boasts a small harbour, good pub, shop and is popular among bird watchers and sailors with its slipway and mooring. Depending on the tide, you can walk or catch a ferry across the River Yealm to Noss Mayo and enjoy a stroll through the pretty woodland to Cellar Beach, where dogs are welcome. You will also find a good selection of pubs and amenities in Noss Mayo. Go on a paddleboard adventure on the river, rental is based in Newton Ferrers (subject to availability). For a great day out in the car, head to the nearby beaches of Mothercombe, Wembury and Wonwell or take a trip to Plymouth, which boasts a cinema, theatre and wide array of shops, restaurants and cafes.
