From here you can take a walk along the wooded valley of the River Barle to the well known Tarr Steps (4 miles) or have a go at pony trekking or fishing. Porlock, a pretty little coastal village, is only 10 miles away and offers tearooms, pubs, restaurants, and a selection of art galleries and independent shops. 16 miles away is Lynton & Lynmouth where the last remaining watered powered funicular railway connects the two villages. Entering the large farmhouse, you have the traditional farmhouse kitchen on the left which has everything you need to cook your favourite recipes for your friends and family, including an electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and a microwave. A door takes you through to the snug room, full of character with its traditional beams, wood panelling, and a beautiful inglenook fireplace with a wood burner, comfortable sofas, and large chairs to sit and relax or to watch a movie together on the Smart TV. Across the hallway, there is a light and airy drawing room with stunning views over Exmoor. This room enjoys leather sofas and another Smart TV, where you will be able to snuggle up on the cooler evenings in front of the fireplace. There are two large cloakrooms with WC on the ground floor. There is a utility area with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and an oil fired Rayburn with an old traditional drying airer above. The Rayburn can be used as additional cooking equipment. A large boot room to leave your muddy boots and hang your coats is also available with plenty of storage for luggage and belongings. Heading up the staircase there are five bedrooms.
