Keen walkers should visit Grasmoor (0.5 miles), Haystacks (17 miles) and Mellbreak (4 miles) with the promise of spectacular views at the top on a clear day! Enjoy a visit to the historic town of Cockermouth, the birthplace of William Wordsworth, (7.5 miles), or the bustling town of Keswick (12 miles) has numerous attractions including Theatre on the Lake, as well as ghyll scrambling, canyoning, kayaking or paddleboarding available. As you enter the property, you will find yourself in the traditional country style kitchen with a tiled floor, informal dining and some storage for coats and muddy walking boots. There are two steps from the kitchen down into the hallway and off the hallway, there is a lobby area with access out to the garden and a handy WC. Further along the hallway down one step, you will find yourself in the welcoming lounge. This room has comfortable seating, a stunning fireplace with a cosy wood burner, and an armchair which offers the perfect place to curl up with a good book on a chilly evening. There is a Smart TV in the lounge and an atmospheric formal lounge which is open plan to the rear of the seating area. There is access out onto the patio and to the garden from the French doors in the lounge. Head back into the hallway and you will find the original spiral stone staircase up to the first floor. There are three spacious bedrooms on the first floor, one king size, one double (one bedroom is accessed via three steps from the landing) and a twin. There is a family bathroom mid landing. The pretty enclosed country garden is accessed from either the lobby or lounge. There is a patio directly outside the lounge and lots of lawns and trees to shelter under on a warm day.
