William Wordsworth s birthplace, Cockermouth is less than 10 miles away, it is a pretty little town with a great selection of independent shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Beautiful Bassenthwaite Lake is 6 miles away, there is a shore path which runs the length of the West shore and an open air theatre at Mirehouse which is worth a visit. This beautiful, spacious property is the ideal place to relax with family and friends. As you walk in through the entrance you will find a handy utility/boot room with tiled flooring, WC and you will find a washing machine and tumble dryer. This is useful space to take off your muddy walking boots and wet outdoor gear. Next door is the large kitchen with informal breakfast table which is a great space to enjoy breakfast or morning coffee while making plans for the day ahead. From here you will find a cosy snug with comfy seating, it is a great space to get away from the crowd, read a good book or play a game of cards. The beautiful formal dining room is next door, it has a very calm and chilled ambiance, with social able square table which fills the room and allows everyone to gather and chat. The cosy wood burner in the dining room will mean you won t want to leave this room; it offers a fabulous place to spend your evenings. The lounge is next door with a lovely Inglenook fireplace which still has the feature bread oven. This room has sofas and chairs to kick back and relax on while watching your favourite series or film on the Smart TV. The staircase to the first floor is through a door from the lounge, when you reach the first floor you will find a long landing which has five bedrooms, three super king size bedrooms, two with an en suite shower room, a twin zip and link (which can be made into a super king size on request) and a bunk bedroom. Outside there is a pretty country garden with lawn and raised decking and seating with a wood burning Swedish style hot tub overlooking fields towards Southwest Scotland.
