For an active holiday, venture out on foot from the property to see the National Trust Wellington Monument. The market town of Wellington is 3 miles away and has two supermarkets and some great takeaways. A fun day out for the kids is Diggerland Devon (11 miles), or visit the county town of Somerset, Taunton (8 miles) with museums, castles and lots more. Enter the barn and kick off your shoes in the hallway, there is a WC with washer/dryer to the rear. Cook up a bite to eat in the well equipped kitchen and enjoy in the breakfast bar area.
