The Keswick Mountain Festival, which is held annually, offers three days of world class sports, lots of outdoor activities, talks, films, and live music events that take place beside the lake. If you are looking to explore the Lakes then this is the perfect base, you are just 4 miles from Cat Bells, 3 miles from Derwentwater and have Skiddaw and Latrigg on your doorstep! Mirehouse and Gardens is within 4 miles and is well worth a visit on a nice day enjoy a walk down to the chapel which sits on the water s edge. Walk into this bungalow, you will find yourself in a small porch which is perfect for hanging up your coat. If you have been on a muddy adventure, there is also a back door which leads you into the utility room where you can store your muddy boots, and dry wet clothing. The lounge is off the porch with comfortable seating and a cosy wood burner. Next is the spacious and well equipped kitchen, which leads into the dining room and informal lounge with a Smart TV and the most spectacular views across Skiddaw. Whatever the weather, you will not be able to tear yourself away from this spot in the house. There are French doors out onto the garden, allowing you to bring the outside in on warm days.
