Lanshaw House, a three-bedroom detached house in Lowgill Lancashire is the perfect place for a family or group of friends to enjoy the countryside and get an authentic taste of England.

Enjoying views of the countryside and off-road parking, you'll be able to get out into nature whenever you like and take in the scenery from the comfort of the property's own patio area.

Arriving at the cottage, four steps up lead you into the kitchen/diner, home to an AGA cooker, a dishwasher, a window seat, and dining seating for the whole family.

Character features continue through the property and into the sitting room, which is furnished with a TV and a woodburning stove.

Finishing off the ground floor is a handy space with a washing machine and tumble dryer where you can freshen up your clothes, and a ground-floor shower room, fitted with a walk-in shower.

Make your way upstairs, where you will find another bathroom with a freestanding bath and a walk-in shower, perfect for a long soak after a day of walking.

When it's time to rest, the first and second bedrooms are magnificent super-king rooms with zip and link beds, which means you can sleep how you want - whether together or apart, while the third bedroom is a snug single room with a beautiful outlook of the countryside.

Outside, enjoy the garden which has a gravelled area and a picnic bench that provides a serene and restful atmosphere.

The convenient location of the property means you are central to Lancashire, Cumbria, and the Yorkshire Dales National Park; but if you want to stay more local, the nearby Bentham is a picturesque town home to the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, which is a popular attraction for tourists; the trail is a four-mile loop that takes hikers through some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the area.

Further afield, Morecambe rests on the Lancashire coast, located on the estuary of the River Lune and is bounded to the north by the Cumbrian mountains.

The town was once a thriving seaside resort and is now a popular tourist destination with attractions including Lancaster Castle, Happy Mount Park, and Lancaster City Museum.

If you want a day of walking, bookended with a delicious meal in a country pub, be sure to spend a day in the glorious Yorkshire Dales National Park.

About the location

HIGH BENTHAM

Ingleton 3 miles; Kirkby Lonsdale 10 miles; Lancaster 12 miles.

The small Yorkshire market town of High Bentham is ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the north and east, with the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, stretching away to the south. The Bowland fells and the nearby three peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent provide excellent terrain for the enthusiastic walker, while the delights of the Lake District and the spectacular coastal scenery of Morecambe Bay are only half an hour away. High Bentham is a busy little town with a weekly cattle market, good local shops and services, as well as a good choice of pubs serving food, while the 18-hole golf course is well known for its stunning views and friendly atmosphere. The High Bentham area is threaded with public footpaths and rights of way that are well documented in a local walking guide and cover locations such as the River Wenning and the Great Stone of Fourstones, a relic of the ice age and a spectacular viewpoint.
