"A lovely cottage in a great location."
We found it annoying that some basic maintenance had not been carried out prior to our visit. For example the clock in the lounge needed a new battery and quite a few of the light bulbs needed replacing.
Life could be made easier if a tray for carrying hot drinks had been provided.
In the kitchen a couple of ore chopping boards would have made it safer to prepare cooked/uncooked food.
All fairly minor items.

Very clean and comfortable. Jeanette Marshal was very helpful owner living at farm. Great views from cottage.
20 minute walk into Skipton along canal towpath is realistic. Railway Station about 15 minutes that way. Trains to Leeds, York, Morecambe and of course along the Settle to Carlisle line!
Dales on doorstep. Lovely to visit Grassington, Skipton and Aysgarth again and to walk along the Wharfe from Grassington to Hebden with lovely tearooms in both villages. East Riddlesden Hall [NT] was a first and most enjoyable visit. Two pensioners.

Niffany Farm Cottages
A group of four terraced cottages, located on a family-run working livestock farm on the outskirts of the ever-popular market town of Skipton. Nestled alongside the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and the owners' private moorings and small campsite, in an open paddock, these cottages provide a wonderful holiday base whether booked together or separately. Each boasts outstanding views across the sweeping surrounding countryside towards the beautiful moorlands above Elslack and the Broughton Hall Estate. The cottages have been designed with modernity in mind to offer contemporary, luxury living in an enviable location, out in the beautiful Dales countryside and yet only a short walk from the many attractions of Skipton. Many of the bedrooms have flat screen TVs and come with luxury en-suite facilities, while the living areas each offer a cosy woodburner or open fire. Outside are private gardens adjoining each cottage, along with a shared clubhouse. Niffany Farm is very much a living, working farm and so any younger guests will adore observing the animal activities and daily comings and goings, while there is a shared clubhouse for everyone to enjoy. Lovely canalside walks lead from the doorstep, taking you straight into Skipton centre where you’ll find a wide selection of restaurants, tea rooms and coffee shops, while the traditional market sells fresh local produce throughout the year. Booked individually or as a group to accommodate larger gatherings, these charming cottages are wonderfully-placed for your Dales getaway.

SKIPTON
Grassington 9 miles; Harrogate 20 miles.
Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2014, The Sunday Times named Skipton as Britain's "best place to live" and two years later placed it among the nine best towns in Yorkshire and the North-East. Steam railways with regular excursions are available at Embsay and Bolton Abbey, and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton with the 1 mile long Foulridge Tunnel and the 5-rise locks at Bingley within a short travel. Golf, swimming, squash, tennis and snooker are all available locally and the excellent public transport means the car can be left at home!
