The property

Lords Hill Barn is a stunning contemporary bungalow overlooking the glorious countryside in Ashleworth, Gloucestershire.

Offering six guests ground-floor living, a private garden and off-road parking with electric charging, this rural abode offers a stylish base for exploring the Heart of England.

Inside you'll find an open-plan living space where the group's chef will have no problem whipping up their favourite dishes using the high-quality facilities.

Set the table for up to six in the bright and spacious living area, whilst your private garden with a large lawn has extra seating to make the most of sunny days.

Back inside, warm up by the woodburning stove in the sitting area with cushioned sofas and catch your favourite show on the wall-mounted TV.

There is one double bedrooms with storage space for your belongings, along with a contemporary family bathroom complete with a bath and walk-in shower.

Completing the property is a handy utility with a washing machine, so you can keep your walking gear fresh throughout your holiday.

Ashleworth is a lovely base to call home with a Post Office/shop/Café/Deli within a short walk from the property, and the National Trust's Ashleworth Tithe Barn offering a taste of the area's long history.

Explore the beautiful surrounding area, including the river Severn with the extensive network of footpaths.

The popular Nature in Art Gallery is also nearby for culture lovers to admire a range of paintings and sculptures, all housed inside a 17th-century mansion!

The city of Gloucester is a short drive away from the majestic Gloucester Cathedral, the National Waterways Museum, and plenty of parks and nature reserves including Alney Island for walking or cycling, and Robinswood Hill Country Park, a lovely wildlife haven.

You'll find plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants in the picturesque town of Cheltenham, which rests next to the Cotswolds offering idyllic walks, historic sites, and picture-postcard villages; Great Witcombe Roman Villa is sure to be a hit with budding historians!

More history awaits in the medieval market town of Tewkesbury, home to the Norman Tewkesbury Abbey and The Vineyards park and gardens.

The Malvern Hills AONB is also close by for scenic hikes and gardens, or journey further afield to visit the historic home of William Shakespeare in Stratford-upon-Avon.

The ancient village of Ashleworth lies in beautiful Gloucestershire countryside just 6 miles from the waterfront city of Gloucester. Dating back to Roman times, Ashleworth boasts a number of historic buildings, namely a 15th century Tithe Barn owned by the National Trust, 12th century church and The Preaching Cross on the village green. The village also benefits from a well-stocked village store and Post Office. Many lovely walks can be enjoyed from the village with the Severn Way and Three Choirs Way passing close by. Nearby, the historic waterfront city of Gloucester offers Roman foundations, Victorian Docklands and a magnificent Norman cathedral (whose cloisters were used as a location in the Harry Potter films) rubbing shoulders with a bustling city centre.
