Catterbeck Gardens
Catterbeck Gardens consists of two lovely lodges resting on the outskirts of Kirkbymoorside, a picturesque market town in North Yorkshire. The collection sits just outside the North York National Park and offers bedrooms with en-suites, front decking areas overlooking the countryside, and woodburning stoves making it ideal for a couple’s getaway, while the surroundings enjoy idyllic countryside where you can play a game or two at Kirkbymoorside Golf Club, discover rural life during the Iron Age at Ryedale Folk Museum, and get away from it all with a walk through the North Yorkshire Moors. The attractive old market town of Kirkbymoorside lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, in between the towns of Helmsley and Pickering. It is a charming place, full of Yorkshire character, and is the centre for the local farms and villages. Visitors will find a variety of shops from tea rooms, pubs and restaurants to antique shops, while there is a market day on Wednesday. The excellent walking and magnificent scenery of the National Park are close by, as are the picturesque villages of Hutton-le-Hole and Lastingham. Pickering is the base of the North York Moors Steam Railway - a ‘must do’ day out for all visitors to the area. Castle Howard, York, Whitby and the Yorkshire Coast are within easy driving distance.
