A delightful pond rests in the centre bringing with it an abundance of wildlife. Resting at the northern point of Dartmoor National Park, offering walking aplenty; you can explore its open moorlands and deep river valleys. Spend some time in the local town of Chagford, though small in size offers a variety of things to do, with shops, pubs and an open-air swimming pool. The city of Exeter is further afield, offering a vibrant assortment of landmarks and attractions. This delightful bolthole is to be enjoyed the year-round.
Chagford is one of the five Stannary towns of Dartmoor, small in size but packed with amenities and things to do. There is a wide range of shops as well as four pubs, as well as a public tennis court and an open-air swimming pool to enjoy at your leisure. It is a town of great history and well known for its culture, hosting film, literary and music festivals alongside an annual running race, known as Two Hills Race. Just over 21 miles away is the city of Exeter, definitely worth a visit.
