A few minutes’ drive brings you to the historic and pretty market town of Beverley, with excellent restaurants, cafes, affluent shops and a spectacular minster. The extensive common pastures of Westwood are on the edge of the town and great for your four legged friends and children alike. The seaside resort of Hornsea offers long sandy beaches, elegant promenades and colourful ornamental gardens, along with Hornsea Mere, where you can partake in boating and water activities. With pony rides, candy floss and ice-cream it is a lovely family destination. The surrounding area has much to do and see, with the nearby stately homes of Burton Agnes Hall, Sledmere House, Sewerby Hall and Burton Constable Hall all worth a visit. The Yorkshire Wolds are a delight with numerous public footpaths and cycling opportunities through gentle countryside.
