Beverley 4. 5 miles.
Beverley 4.5 miles. This spacious, ground floor barn conversion, on a holiday park is set just 4.5 miles from Beverley, in East Yorkshire. It is a beautiful holiday base for families, friends and couples touring the area. The bright, social kitchen/diner with a breakfast bar and two stools, as well as a dining table offers a lovely spot to catch up on the day with a piping hot meal. The room has exposed beams, floor-to-ceiling windows, and is well-equipped for preparing home-cooked food and fun picnics with local produce. There is a lovely sitting room where everyone can gather to chat or simply relax with a good book, whilst at the other side of the property are two wonderful bedrooms. The twin room has an en-suite shower, and the master bedroom has a king-size bed, a double sofa bed and an en-suite spa bath where you can soothe aching muscles after a long walk. There is also a feature barn door and a marvellous brick wall that works as a half partition between the two halves of the room. Retaining its character, this side of the barn was originally a pig sty and you can still see the opening in the brick wall, where the pigs could move from one half to the other! While you are staying at this delightful holiday park, you can enjoy the on-site facilities included. Why not play a round of golf on the nine-hole golf course, explore an array of wildlife on one of the nature trails and even a day relaxing beside the pond with your fishing rod, ready to catch something from the well-stocked waters. You can also explore the delights of Beverley and further afield are the cities of York and Leeds. An excellent choice for visitors to East Yorkshire!
The ancient market town of Beverley, with its splendid Gothic Minster and the twice-weekly market, is a bustling place and a fabulous holiday base. The town is steeped in history; construction of the Minster began in 1220 and continued until 1425 and over the centuries has been continually added to. Today, skilled artisans and masons are employed in the upkeep of this magnificent building. Other historical building include Ann Routh's hospital, an Almshouse built in 1749, the Corn Exchange and Assembly Rooms to name a few. Beverley has a wide variety of shops, eateries and other amenities but is within reach of York, Bridlington and Hull with their own excellent attractions, and all of this is surrounded by glorious countryside just waiting to be discovered.
