The ground floor also features a well equipped kitchen overlooking the small patio area for al fresco dining. Upstairs you will find two calming bedrooms, one double and a twin.The floor is complete with a stylish bathroom with free standing bath to enjoy a soak and forget life's worries. From the doorstep the local amenities of Knaresborough are at hand, with pubs serving fine ales and excellent restaurants as well as plenty of shops. A short walk will also take you down to the river where you can visit Mother Shipton's cave or walk up the banks and have a sit down meal by the river.No car is required when staying here. Knaresborough train station is a 5 min walk away with its links to the East Coast mainline at York and to Leeds in the other direction, and the bus stop to the beautiful spa town of Harrogate is just across the road. The historic city of York is accessible directly via the train or within half an hour’s drive. With beautiful countryside to explore in the Yorkshire Dales national park or North York Moors and Coast, as well as bustling cities and towns, this is the perfect cottage base any time of the year.

Knaresborough is a pretty market and Spa town on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, overlooking the River Nidd. An ideal location for touring the stunning countryside of the North Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. For lovers of history, St John’s Church, Knaresborough House and Knaresborough Castle were built by the Normans in around 1100 AD. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy wonderful walks by the river, cycling, climbing, fishing, boating or just sitting and taking in the tranquil atmosphere and beautiful scenery. The town centre has many interesting shops and galleries, and there is a colourful and lively market held on Wednesdays.
