Windy Ridge Cottage is a beautifully quaint cottage located in a secluded country estate about 3 miles Outside Stow on the Wold. How often can you say that you've stayed on a Cotswolds Estate?! The location is tucked down a little lane, within the hills, just Outside the village of Longborough, famous for its Operatic connections including its annual Opera Festival. And on top of this is the beauty of the area which is as good as it gets. The cottage is a quintessential Cotswolds building built with the mellow stone, nicely secluded and surrounded by an enclosed garden there is also access to the estate's arboretum of 3000 trees. Inside, the cottage is spacious and roomy the Living Room with its triple aspect is especially attractive. The kitchen, while basic, is well equipped and with a delightful Dining Room . Upstairs are two large bedrooms and a third more than comfortable for two. Every window frames beautiful views over the lush gardens and what is even better is that even though you are down a little quiet lane you are still only 300 yards from a top Cotswolds pub. This place is a great choice and very good value.
Longborough is a small village in the delightful Cotswold Hills, boasting a 12th Century church, a village shop and post office, and two excellent pubs. Now famous for the Longborough Festival Opera which runs throughout the early Summer, the village is also set amidst beautiful natural scenery, and is situated close to the thriving market town of Moreton in Marsh and the delightful Stow on the Wold. Renowned for its fine antiques, Stow on the Wold hosts the Stow Horse Fair each February in the town square, attracting buyers from all over the world, while Morton in Marsh, located at the head of the beautiful Evenlode Valley, dates back 1000 years to the Saxon era and provides a wide range of facilities.
