Modernised to a good standard whilst retain many period features, this holiday cottage provides quality self catering accommodation set across three floors all with generously proportioned rooms for up to twelve guests. It is situated on a small family non working farm on the edge of the attractive Oxfordshire village of Stonesfield, itself just 2 miles approximately from Woodstock and the famous Blenheim Palace. You also have a wonderful pub/restaurant called the White Horse in the village and it's very family/pet friendly. It is possible to hire Laughtons Retreat also, which accommodates four guests, for a total 16 people - 10% discount if booked together.
Stonesfield, Oxfordshire is a short drive away from Woodstock, which mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. Today Woodstock is a bustling market town with historic, honey- coloured stone streets to explore which are home to antique shops, art galleries and individual shops. There are an array of tearooms, coffee shops and pubs and high-end restaurants to tempt you too. The town is within walking distance of Blenheim Palace, a World Heritage Site often referred to as Britain’s greatest palace, and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. A walker’s paradise, the grounds of Blenheim include a great lake, beautiful formal gardens and plenty of off-the-beaten track rambles.
