Just down the road there is a pub serving evening meals and local ales, and a garage with a small shop selling essentials. The market town of Ulverston is 6.5 miles away and has a wide selection of shops and restaurants to enjoy. It is also home to the Laurel & Hardy Museum. Just a short drive away are the western fells of the Lake District to explore either on foot or bicycle and the pretty Duddon Valley is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle. There is a beautiful beach at Silecroft to enjoy and the Cumbrian Heavy Horses are based closeby and offer beach rides which are very exhilarating! For a more serene day out take a boat trip up Lake Windermere on the steamer and cruise up the lake to Ambleside and Bowness. Whatever you choose to do, this excellent studio will be a relaxing place to return to. A great base for your holiday at any time of the year.

Grizebeck is set in pretty countryside and superb for those wanting to spend some time away from it all.
