A fabulous child and dog friendly holiday home in the Cheviot Hills. This cottage is a perfect base for walking with family and friends, so why not switch off the mobile and just chill for a few days. Coquet Cottage dates back some 200 years, a lovely farmhouse style property with three bedrooms offering comfortable accommodation for six guests. The property is well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday, complete with an open fire for the cooler months. This is an excellent location for outdoor pursuits with walking and cycling trails on the doorstep. Step outside and you’re in unspoilt countryside at the foot of the Cheviot Hills, take a leisurely stroll along the banks of the river Coquet or do a spot of fishing. The Northumberland National Park is a haven for wildlife with black grouse, ospreys and otters can be spotted along the the river. Northumberland is home to more castles and fortified houses than any other region in England. Coquet Cottage is a great base for walkers, cyclists and stargazers… the area is Europe's largest 'Dark Skies' area. Sleeps: 6 in 3 bedrooms. Beds: 2 double beds, 1 x twin beds. Accommodation Ground floor: Kitchen/ diner: Belfast sink, feature fireplace, electric hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, fridge and freezer, stone floor with underfloor heating. Dining table and chairs. Living room: open log fire, stone floor with underfloor heating, sofas and chairs, wall mounted flat screen TV. Bedroom 1: double bed, wardrobe. Family bathroom: bath with shower over, WC and wash hand basin. First floor: Bedroom 2: double bed, storage, bedside tables and lights, dressing table, Velux windows Sloping ceiling and original beams. Bedroom 3: twin beds, bedside tables, chest of drawers. Views of the Coquet River. Sloping ceilings with original beams. Entertainment: TV, DVD player, books, games, For families: cot and a highchair can be provided (no cot bedding), some outdoor play equipment. Outside: private garden with views of the hills and river bank, garden furniture (sun loungers and patio furniture) Parking: off road parking in the car park.
