Overlooking the vast expanse of Prestwick's sandy beach and across the sea to Arran, this holiday house offers guests the chance to sit back and enjoy beautiful seascapes and dazzling sunsets once seen never to be forgotten!

There is easy access to the beach, making the house an excellent base for family holidays and also provides the most convenient of golfers accommodation as well, with the Old Course Prestwick just yards away and the renowned courses at Trump Turnberry and Troon also very close to hand.

Prestwick is a popular destination and has excellent opportunities for eating out at the plentiful restaurants and cafes. In particular, and not to be missed, the Cafe Mancini with its award winning ice cream and close proximity to the beach, again minutes from the front door of the house.

Ayrshire is a superb area to explore both for its outstanding coastal landscape, stretching along the Clyde Coast and including sites such as National Trust for Scotland, Culzean Castle and beach, down steep steps but well worth the effort. Dumfries House is another stately home which should be on everyone's list to visit and, of course, Robert Burns Trails throughout the area provide a fascinating insight into past history, life and the poet himself.

Whilst there is more than enough to do in the local area, it is also very easy to take a day trip to Glasgow or Edinburgh with the main line railway station close to the house, allowing day trips to the principal cities of Scotland to be easily undertaken without the need to take a car. Day trips to Arran can also be easily managed with ferries from Ardrossan which is just a short way along the coast.

GUEST COMMENTS:

Go ahead and book --just don't take my week!!

Great location for Ayrshire golf. Minutes from Troon to Western Gailes and right on Prestwick golf course. The owners are lovely people who really want your stay to be all pleasure. Views of Arran and Ailsa rock with the beach outside your window. The rooms are comfortable (2nd bedroom has bunk beds) the kitchen well stocked and the lounge/dining area is comfortable and spacious, there is a washing machine and lots of line space to hang dry outside. The heated bed in the main bedroom is nice if it's a cold night. Cafe Manzini next door has some of the best ice cream I have ever had. We love the town of Prestwick, which is walking distance from the house. If you want Glasgow or other towns, the train is one block away and Prestwick station has a full train schedule. Mr E, New York

We thoroughly enjoyed our week here. The previously reported magnificent views lived up to expectation, and we took a small telescope with us which turned out to be a blessing as a pair of Ospreys were nesting on one of the local lochs - though a high quality set of binoculars are already present in the house should you want to observe the wildlife / ships etc that you can see from the lounge window. Locally there are some excellent restaurants and pubs and transport links could not be better - and to confirm, it is not possible to hear any noise from the local train line. The location is a quiet and peaceful spot. We loved this place and hope to return again in the future, either as a guest or a potential buyer should it ever come up for sale and I win the lottery."
