This charming former fisherman’s cottage is one of the oldest properties in Seahouses. Powder House has been lovingly restored retaining many original features throughout. Accommodation is over two floors providing flexible living space for four guests. The property has a private garden with table and chairs for alfresco dining - plus a shared children’s play area. A fabulous spot - very close to the harbour and beach, with the town’s amenities just a short walk away. Powder House is a great base for exploring this beautiful area - visit the Farne Islands to observe the seabirds and the colony of Grey Seals. 3 miles north is the impressive Bamburgh Castle which clings to a rocky outcrop, and it’s just 5 miles to Holy Island and Lindisfarne (accessible at low tide along the causeway). Just south of Seahouses is Beadnell Bay with its unique west facing harbour for sailing, windsurfing and scuba diving. Good golfing (0,.5 miles), fishing and horse riding available locally. Sleeps: 4 in 2 bedrooms. Beds: 1 x super king size/twin beds, 2 x twin beds. Accommodation Ground floor: Kitchen: electric cooker, microwave, fridge. Utility: washing machine, dryer. Conservatory/ dining area: table and chairs. Living room: sofas, feature fireplace with woodburning stove, oak floor, Freeview TV. First floor: Master bedroom: super king size/twin beds, sea views. Bedroom 2: twin beds. Jack 'n' Jill style bathroom: accessed from both bedrooms and lockable from both sides. Entertainment: Freeview TV , DVD, MP3 player, Radio and CD player. WiFi - limited access, connected with the owners property next door. Games and books. For families: cot, high chair, stair gate, games and books. Climbing frame and toys (used at own risk children should be supervised). Outside: enclosed rear garden, patio, table, chairs and parasol. Additional outside play area is shared between two cottages (Clam Shell and Powder House), fenced and can be seen from the conservatory and patio. Parking: on street parking for one car. General: WiFi. Bedding, quality bed linens, towels and a good range of toiletries. Logs for wood burning stove. Welcome tray with tea, coffee, milk, sugar, hot chocolate, cake/biscuits. Pets: sorry, no pets.
