From Russell Court on Fore Street, climb the steps to the terrace and stable door, and enter into the open-plan living space, which enjoys a galley style kitchen, ideal for preparing quick meals and picnics to take out on your travels. Relax and unwind into your evening in the bright and airy sitting area and simply take in your surroundings as you catch up on the day you've just had over a few drinks. There is also a wall-mounted TV, a double sofa bed (on request) for additional guests to stay, and an electric coal-effect fire taking the chill off those cooler nights in winter. From the sitting room, a ship-style ladder leads to the mezzanine floor, which occupies a low to the ground platform style double bed resting under the Velux skylight (The mezzanine floor has restricted headroom, the highest point is 4' 2" and is unsuitable for young children). Sit out on the sunny, decked terrace for your morning coffee and soak up the pleasant, seaside atmosphere as you plan further trips out exploring the wider region. You have an array of watersports to try out here on the estuary, such as sailing, kayaking and paddle boarding. You can discover the spectacular sweep of coastline along the South West Coast Path, with walks and cycling trials to suit many capabilities. Try some delicious, locally sourced seafood at one of the restaurants in the town and browse the shops before stopping off for a pint at a traditional pub on the harbour front. There are two beaches close by, North Sands and South Sands, whilst the beaches at Bigbury-on-Sea and Bantham are also worth a visit for shoreline strolls and basking in the sun. Throughout the year are a plethora of events including fairs, regattas and festivals, each offering something different. This boat-style hideaway offers a well-earned break for families and friends in a popular region of Devon.
