This well appointed Norwegian lodge set in 3.5 acres of grounds on the edge of the Quantock Hills, just two miles from the coastal town of Watchet and a great base to explore Exmoor and the Quantocks.
Situated in the heart of Somerset and a short drive from the pretty seaside town of Watchet, explore the marina and excellent range of cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops. Slightly further along the coast is Blue Anchor with its sandy beach and St Audries beach, within walking distance. The historic West Somerset steam railway is within walking distance and runs from Minehead to Bishops Lydeard. Explore the coastal town of Minehead and visit the pretty village of Porlock. Dunster with its National Trust castle towering above it is a must see and is just a short drive, as is Exmoor National Park and the Quantock Hills, perfect for those wishing to walk or cycle this awe inspiring landscape. This delightful compact lodge is set in a tucked away position within the grounds of the owner s home. Step into this single storey open plan retreat and settle in for a snug evening in the lounge with a bottle of wine and a film on the TV or DVD player and relax after a long day. The stylish kitchen is cleverly fitted with an electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine, perfect for cooking a lazy breakfast in bed, or a light supper. From here enter the pretty double bedroom with TV. Sleep tight with your faces glowing from a day in the salty sea air, or a brisk countryside walk. The double bedroom also has an en suite wet room with shower and WC and electric shaver point. Venture outside onto the decking with your morning coffee and soak up the views over the gardens and the Quantock Hills. It is also a perfect place to enjoy a BBQ or cuddle up under a blanket whilst watching the sun go down. You are welcome to enjoy the attractive shared landscaped gardens where you can also enjoy views towards Exmoor National Park. 1 dog welcome in this lovely bijoux cabin. Allocated off road parking for one car can be found at the back of the lodge, it is accessed via a level path with a slight gradual slope to the decking. Need to know: 1 bedroom double. 1 wet room. Electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. Fully insulated with electric and gas central heating included. Hairdryer. Shaving point. Travel Cot available. Off road parking for 1 car. Wi Fi included. 1 dog welcome; please note guests are kindly asked to ensure the dog is kept on a lead when outside. Shop 2 miles and pub within walking distance. Dogs fees are charged per dog at 20.00 for up to 7 nights, 40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional 20.00 for every week or part week thereafter..
