The harbour town of Wells next the Sea provides a great choice of shops and eateries which are a short stroll away. Days spent in the town could involve spending time on the beach, perusing the interesting independent shops or even fishing for crabs in the harbour. The views over the saltmarshes attract landscape artists throughout the year, and wildlife lovers will find an abundance of birdlife to watch. There are plenty of charming towns to visit inland including the Georgian town of Holt, with fine array of independent boutiques, antique shops, pubs and restaurants. Popular day trips for families include the Norfolk Broads National Park with miles of navigable waterways, bewilderwood and the Dinosaur Adventure Park.
