Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the westerly coast of North Devon, the Hartland Peninsula is also worth exploring, with miles of inspiring clifftop walks, secluded beaches and marine wildlife to take in. Hartland Point for its hidden lighthouse, zig zag rock formations and legends of the many shipwrecks in the water below, whilst Hartland Quay offers a dramatic coastline, bold geology and panoramas from Lundy Island to Cornwall. If it s culture you re after, the award winning gardens at Docton Mill offer a journey through several lovingly restored landscapes and a highly acclaimed cream tea!
