Set in the pretty village of Thornford, this character cottage has been refurbished for summer 2017 and offers comfortable accommodation with spacious rooms and an abundance of charm. The village has a pub and shop and is surrounded by open countryside, making it the ideal spot for walkers and nature lovers. An abundance of pretty towns and villages are accessible from here, including the market town of Sherborne, which offers a great selection of artisan cafes, boutique shops and restaurants. Heading south from the cottage is the stunning Jurassic Coastline, which provides the ideal backdrop for all manner of outdoor pursuits, or take a trip into Somerset in the North, with its many attractions such as The Haynes Motor Museum, Ham Hill and Montacute House. Steps lead you to the front door of this pretty terraced cottage. On entering the property, you are met by a cosy lounge with sofa bed, TV and DVD, making it the ideal place to relax after a day spent exploring. An archway leads you into the stylish contemporary kitchen/diner, which is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Rising from the lounge is a winding cottage style staircase, giving access to a bright and airy double bedroom with views over the street and an adjacent shower room with shower and WC. Heading outside, you will find an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture and a small lawn area to the rear. Located directly outside of the kitchen it s the perfect spot for enjoying a meal outdoors. At the front of the cottage there is roadside parking for several cars subject to availability. Need to know: 1 bedroom double. 1 shower room with WC. Electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Electric and night storage heating included.
