This delightful Grade II listed cottage stands in a quiet country lane, less than a mile from the beaches of Brighstone Bay. The area is a haven for keen walkers and cyclists, with nearby footpaths leading to Brighstone Downs and the renowned Tennyson Trail, which links Carisbrooke with The Needles. From the cottage you can explore paths that will lead you to the main coastal path, which offers incredible views. Compton Bay a spot best known for its fossils and excellent surfing is just a short drive away, as are the National Trust gardens of Mottistone Manor. Originally a wing of the village Rectory, this cottage is now a completely self contained property with private access. On the ground floor there is a lovely kitchen with a ceramic sink, induction hob, oven with grill, microwave, fridge, freezer, slimline dishwasher, and a washing machine. There s a dining area within the kitchen, offering seating for six. Unwind in the large lounge, which has comfortable sofas and a Smart TV. A few steps lead from the hallway to the inner hallway and lounge. Downstairs there is one bedroom, with a TV and a French style single bed that can be pulled out into a king size double bed if needed. Stairs lead to two more charming bedrooms, both of which boast stunning views of the surrounding countryside and glimpses of the ocean in the distance. The first is a double bedroom, the second is the master with a super king size bed and en suite bathroom with Victorian roll top bath and WC. There s a separate shower room with walk in shower and WC. Enjoy the pretty south facing garden, enclosed by hedges and stone walling. There s garden furniture and a BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining in the sunshine. Off road parking is available for one small/medium car on the driveway. The garage door can be left open to allow for extra length for the end of the car if required when parking lengthways. Additional parking is available on the road beside the church, or in the free village car park. We regret that the fireplace can not be used.
