This charming property has been carefully converted from a former stable building tucked behind the owners beautiful character cottage. The cottage is set in the heart of the pretty village of Stoke Abbott, which wouldn t look out of place on picture postcards, with its distinctive honey stone properties and historic pub. This area is renowned for its network of walks through the picturesque countryside with Pilsdon Pen, Ham Hill and The Cerne Abbas Giant all within easy reach. Head South and visit the market town of Bridport, the cobbled streets of Lyme Regis or perhaps laze on the beach at Charmouth. With the spectacular Jurassic Coast within easy reach there is no shortage of things to do here. A driveway shared only with the owners leads to the private entrance of this detached property. Once inside, to your left is a cosy lounge/dining room which has a wood burner, two comfortable armchairs, TV and DVD. The dining area overlooks the pretty garden and is a perfect spot for relaxed meals for four, plus there is also an additional sleeping area with a double bed tucked into the corner of this room, which can be partially screened off. Heading back into the hallway you will find a shower room with shower and WC and the galley kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Please note, from 1st January 2022, the dishwasher will be replaced by a washing machine. Heading upstairs to the first floor, you can take time to unwind together in the second lounge area, where you can curl up and watch a film on the TV/DVD. Just next door is a charming double bedroom, with lovely garden views and a light and bright ambience. Heading outside you will find a small terrace to the front of the cottage, which has garden furniture and views over the pretty cottage garden which is shared with the owners. Guests also have use of their own small private enclosed area of the garden next to the cottage with BBQ, outdoor seating and a cosy shed with sofa (available to use between Easter and the end of October) offering a peaceful outlook. Off road parking for one car is available to the side of the cottage, with a further parking space on the village lane (subject to availability). Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 king size on the first floor and 1 double in the ground floor lounge/dining room (which can be partially screened off). Sleeps 2 2. 1 shower room with WC on the ground floor. Kitchen electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. From 1st January 2022 dishwaher will be replaced with a washing machine. Wood burner (first basket of logs included). 2 lounge areas. The cottage will be decorated for Christmas. TV/DVD in both lounges. Electric and central heating included. Wi Fi included. 1 step down into hallway, 2 steps down into ground floor lounge. 2 well behaved dogs welcome (dogs are politely asked to refrain from fouling on the lawn). Charcoal BBQ available. The cosy shed is available to use between Easter and the end of October . Off road parking for one car (with further parking on the village lane, subject to availability). Beach 6.5 miles, shop 2 miles, pub within walking distance (please note the owners recommend to book ahead for meals).
