This cottage is perfectly located for those who want to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside whilst still being within easy reach of beaches, attractions, pubs, and shops. The village of Godshill just two miles from the cottage, is a pretty place with attractive cottages, numerous tea rooms, independent shops selling artisan products, and a specialist fossil shop which is also the base for booking fossil hunting tours. To the east of the property, meanwhile, the seaside village of Shanklin offers a sandy beach backed by food outlets, amusements, and an adventure golf course, whilst Shanklin Old Village itself is a pretty collection of gift shops and cafes. The main entrance to this property is accessed from the lane via a set of ten external steps which bring guests to the door at the side of the cottage. Once inside guests can make themselves at home after their journey in the spacious dual aspect lounge which has two inviting sofas, a wood burner, exposed floorboards, and a TV/DVD. There is a separate dining room which is ideal for lingering over meals, whilst the kitchen looks out over the garden and is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and a washing machine. A separate tumble dryer, meanwhile, can be found in a separate utility area. The shower room with its shower and WC can also be found on the ground floor whilst upstairs there are three bedrooms, the first of which is a charming room with a king size bed and feature fireplace. The second bedroom is a pleasant twin room, whilst the third is a restful single room to which an additional single pull out bed can be added to accommodate a sixth guest. The bathroom on this floor offers a bath and WC. The property is surrounded by gardens on three sides, including a terraced patio seating area to the side, which has garden furniture provided, and a spacious lawn to the rear of the cottage which offers plenty of space to relax and play and even has a trampoline for younger guests.
