This two bedroom cottage is packed full of character. Once the site of the house of Embleton's Quarry Master, it was constructed using the local Whinstone from which it derives its name, providing the property with a rich history and nature all of its own. Overlooking the entire village, this property offers incredible sea views from the rear of the cottage, reaching down towards the beach and golf course at Dunstanburgh. The village acts as a perfect base for walkers, and if you stroll down the one mile country track, taking you past the golf club, you'll emerge onto blue seas and gorgeous beaches. Everything you need is within reach, including cuisine from around the world! Just seconds from the front door sits Sambuca, an authentic Italian restaurant offering mouth watering food at extremely reasonable prices. Enter the single storey cottage and be greeted by a traditional stone flagged hallway, leading into a lounge full of light and space. This openness gives the cottage a light, airy atmosphere, which is only enhanced by the stunning sea views. Enjoy cosy nights in, with a sofa and two easy chairs, a multitude of books, and an original stone chimney breast complete with a wood burner situated in the feature fireplace, all creating a relaxing ambience and rustic touch. Prepare a delicious meal in the handy kitchen, fully equipped with table and chairs, fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a washing machine. Touches of original period features are everywhere, from the antique dining table to the grandfather clock in the entrance hall. As this property is all on one level, you'll also find the two bedrooms further down the hall, a king size master bedroom and the smaller single room, as well as a spacious bathroom with steps down into, complete with a shower over the bath and WC. From the lounge, French doors open out onto a private enclosed garden bordered by a small fence and complete with a bench, ideal for relaxing on a summer's evening or taking in the spectacular sea views. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 king size, 1 single with trundle (available on request, so can sleep 4). 1 bathroom electric shower over the bath with WC. Wifi included. Kitchen: stone flagged floor, fridge/freezer, table and chairs, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Wood Burner (first basket of logs provided from 1st October until the 31st March which includes 3 logs, kindling and a newspaper, no matches or lighters provided). Parking for 1 car. TV with Roku Smart Stick and DVD in the lounge, along with Bluetooth Radio. Pubs, shops and restaurants within easy driving distance. 2 dogs welcome. Enclosed garden. Sea views.
