Rowena Cottage sleeps five guests and is one of two, unique holiday cottages at the lighthouse, situated within the grounds of Durleston Country Park, approximately two miles up the hill from the town centre of Swanage.
Swanage offers a lovely beach and a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and many other facilities.
As you turn off the main road and begin your "off the beaten track" path to your cosy accommodation, you'll feel like you have just stepped off the treadmill of your busy life; and if you arrive after dark, there's nothing like the welcome of a lighthouse beam to greet you!
Perfect year round, from enjoying summer sun on the nearby beaches; to snuggling up to witness amazing storms in the colder months; indeed, many of our guests feel a little cheated if the weather is too calm!
If you're looking for a holiday with a difference; a complete break from the metropolis; a breath of fresh air and countless coastal walking opportunities, then look no further.

All Ground Floor Accommodation: Entrance hall Kitchen With electric double oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine/dryer. Sitting room With an electric stove effect fire, television and CD player. Dining room With dining table seating for five guests. Bathroom With shower over bath, wash basin and wc. Master bedroom With king size (5') bed and an en-suite shower room with walk in shower. Bedroom two With a super king (6') zip and link bed, which can be made up as two single beds on request. Bedroom three With a 3' single bed. Outside: A private, side garden area with a shared garden area to the rear (both unenclosed). Parking within the lighthouse grounds (see below). Additional Information: One well behaved dog is welcome at Rowena Cottage (small additional charge). A travel cot and highchair are available on request. There is no fog horn at this site. Please Note: The Lighthouse grounds are walled, however please ensure children are supervised at all times. Guests are reminded they are renting a heritage building, therefore certain features such as steps, stairs and floor levels may not comply with that of a modern building. As such, we would advise guests to acquaint themselves with the premises on arrival and exercise caution accordingly. Sorry, no barbecues, fireworks, drones or remote controlled flying equipment permitted. Sorry, charging of electric cars is not permitted. Parking within the lighthouse grounds - please avoid blocking the views from the windows of Veronica Cottage whenever possible. Access roads to the lighthouse are narrow with limited passing places and, dependent on the season and site, there is the possibility of overhanging vegetation due to cutting restrictions during bird breeding seasons or other environmental reasons. Guests should be aware that the lighthouses and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance, therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur at any time during the year, however, staff will do their best to ensure guest privacy at all times.
