Venture towards one of the nearby rivers and lakes for some sailing and fishing opportunities. Situated just outside of the quaint market town of Llanidloes, there are a number of traditional Welsh eateries where you can sample some local delicacies. Further afield is Newtown which has a lot of nature reserves and a canal running straight through the town. One of the oldest routes in Wales is the Kerry Ridgeway, hugely popular for walking, cycling and horse riding. Also nearby is the town of Rhayader and the beautiful Elan Valley which is part of the Cambrian Mountains. Osprey Lodge is the place to be for those who enjoy the secluded countryside.
