There are lovely walks right from the front door – and a two-minute stroll takes you to an award-winning restaurant.

The Downton Estate stretches for nearly 5,000 acres across the picturesque hilly and wooded countryside of Herefordshire and Shropshire. The market town of Ludlow is just four miles away and is an architectural gem, with a historic castle perched on a cliff looking out above the River Teme.
