Both the kitchen and dining room at this St Michaels farmhouse boast huge beams and original inglenook fireplaces, with the kitchen offering an adjacent breakfast area. Traditional cottage stairs lead up to the four bedrooms, all of which have wooden beams and beautiful old doors, whilst one of the two bathrooms houses a freestanding roll-top bath and walk-in shower. To the rear of this Suffolk cottage is a large enclosed lawned garden, perfect for a family BBQ and to look at the amazing bird wildlife. St Michael South Elmham is one of a number of villages which together make up The Saints, named after the local churches, with nearby St Peter, South Elmham having a micro-brewery which guests can visit. Four miles away is the small market town of Bungay, with a fine array of independent shops, tempting tea rooms and pubs, as well as Bungay Castle. From this Suffolk cottage there is easy access to the southern tip of the Norfolk Broads, the historic city of Norwich, plus the popular seaside town of Southwold is just a short drive away.
