The village is well serviced with amenities and is the ideal base for touring, with the county town of Dorchester 10 miles north west and the pretty market town of Wareham, with its popular riverside 7 miles north east. Lovers of outdoor pursuits can find many activities in the local area, which take in this picturesque landscape. Whilst history lovers may find a visit to the lost village of Tyneham interesting.
