Set along a small country lane 1,000 feet above sea level, the cottage has breathtaking views and makes a wonderful base for spotting buzzards and red kites. Climbers, walkers and mountain bikers will have plenty to explore. There are numerous walks from the cottage, with the summit of Sugar Loaf offering panoramic views over the Cotswolds, the Brecon Beacons and the Bristol Channel. The thriving town of Abergavenny (4 miles) has a fantastic range of great pubs, restaurants, and cafes. Other local attractions and landmarks include Tretower Castle (8.5 miles), the Big Pit museum (11 miles), Llanover Gardens (9 miles) and Llanthony Priory (9.5 miles). The popular market town of Crickhowell is also within easy reach (6 miles). On entering this delightful cottage, you will find yourself in the light, fresh and inviting open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. With comfortable seating, TV and a wood burner effect electric fire, the cosy lounge area is ideal for snuggling up at the end of a lovely day, catching up with a good book, watching a movie or chatting late into the night. The kitchen has a range of equipment including an electric oven, a microwave and fridge so you can prepare your favourite meals which you can enjoy in the charming dining area. Going upstairs, the light and relaxing bedroom features a pair of cosy twin beds. Please note the ceiling slopes quite low. There s also a handy shower room complete with a shower and WC. Stepping outside, you can sit back in the enclosed garden and enjoy the stunning views. There is also a shared heated indoor swimming pool with a resistance machine. For guests with horses, the farmyard features three stables within sight of the cottage, and there s also plenty of space for grazing. You will also have access to a laundry room (shared with the adjoining cottage) complete with a washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities. Ample parking is available.
